We wanted to share a few videos (courtesy of Youtube) to give you an idea of what the towns and villages of Calabria are really like and give you an insight into what you can see and do in Calabria.

This is a video of a 'the festival of the Madonna' held in Scalea Calabria where the main street of Scalea is decorated entirely with flower petals it is a fascinating event and well worth a look. This is just one of the festivals that are held in Scalea during the summer months.

I love Scalea and I go there every year for my holidays, now I can speak more Italian now it does make life easier and there is no snow when will the weather in England improve, I cant wait to go back.

I bought an old house in the old town of Scalea with Peter and Tom last year and I am very happy. They were both really helpful and there was no hard sell but to be honest Scalea sold itself happy holidays!
